Hamdi Dridi’s practice encompasses hip hop and urban contemporary dance in their widest sense, which coupled with his interest in sound and music creates novel networks and a continually evolving choreographic space.
Residency at Camargo/Mucem
Raeda Saadeh was born in Umm al-Fahm (Palestine). Her practice engages with photography, performance and video, Saadeh uses her body as the guise of most of her works. Saadeh lives in Jerusalem and has exhibited her work extensively locally and internationally.

Sary Zananiri is an artist and cultural historian. He is interested in questions of landscape, colonialism and religious discourse with a focus on photography and visual culture.
Residency at Darwish Chair/Bozar (Brussels)
Amr Kamal is Associate Professor of French and Arabic at City College New York and at the Graduate Center. Kamal’s research focuses on the literature and culture of the Arab world and the Mediterranean from the nineteenth century to the present.
The aim was to contribute to a contemporary conversation on Darwish’s legacy as well as to support scholars and artists from the Arab world. The four grantees were selected with this consideration and furthermore in view of the multidisciplinary nature of their proposal, its positioning at the intersection of art and research, its ability to bridge the personal and the universal and to question history as well as contemporary national and international politics and to unveil future spaces and at the same time to dig in the past and its legacies.
The residency was organized by the Mahmoud Darwish Chair, Bozar, A. M. Qattan Foundation, Camargo Foundation and Mucem.
